Sourav was born and brought up in West Bengal, India. After completing BSc and MSc in Chemistry, he worked as a research project assistant in the field of nano-chemistry at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata. In 2016, he was awarded the prestigious ‘Stipendium Hungaricum’ scholarship by the Govt. of India and Hungary for pursuing doctoral study at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. At present, he is working as a post-doctoral research scholar at the Chemical Crystallography Research Laboratory, Research Centre for Natural Sciences, Hungarian Academy of Sciences Centre of Excellence, Budapest, Hungary.
Field of interest:
Crystal engineering, crystal growth, chemical crystallography, single crystal diffraction, intermolecular interactions, polymorphism, cocrystal formation, solid-state green synthesis of organometallic complexes, N-heterocyclic carbenes, catalysis.
